So my official due date is Thursday. I can't believe it's already here. I really don't think Saydee will come until the first of the following week, but what do I know. Here are some pictures Adam took. He loves making me look as big as possible.

Two weeks to go

So, I had another dr. appointment yesterday. Things are still looking good, but not much changes since last week. He's hoping by the next appt. I'll have started to feel some contractions or have Saydee drop a little. He said if things haven't changed, then I'll be induced at 41 weeks, something he prefers to not have to do. We'll see how things go. Until she decides to come, we just keep preparing. We got her room pretty much done, just need to move around a couple more things and I think we're done. We're excited to have a new little addition to our family. We can't believe how fast it has gone by. I'll post pictures as soon as her room is actually done.

34 Weeks

I am now 34 weeks and can't believe how fast it has gone. This past month as been busy. I found out I don't have gestational diabetes, which I was very excited about. I was not excited about the wonderful bruises I had left on my arms for over a week after. At my last doctor's appt, Saydee measured a week big, so we'll see how my plans for an October baby turn out. She'll come when she's ready. We just can't believe how close it is.

After we went to Ogden for my baby shower, we went back up to Salt Lake to see Adam's family. We went to the zoo and to the aquarium. I had never been to either one, so it was pretty interesting. I just wish my feet wouldn't have swollen up so much. We had some pretty long days walking around. Adam's mom wanted some family pictures, so we were lucky the weather cooperated the one night we could have them done. Sheri did a great job!

These are the only pictures we took while with Adam's family. He's not a fan of the camera.

Adam's sister, Heather, bought us some more outfits for Saydee, which are adorable. I am really excited to dress her in them. It was good to see Adam's family. Since both of our families live far away, we don't get to see them very often. It will be nice for our families to be here for Saydee's blessing.

Busy Weekend

Okay, so I am still trying to get used to blogging. So sorry this has been a little while. It has been a very exciting couple months. In May we found out we are having a little girl. We are naming her Saydee Grace Byington. We can hardly wait for her to join us!

I have had a great pregnancy thus far. I am 30 weeks and not too many problems. I started out with heartburn, which I only get every once and a while now. I had a couple a couple weeks where my tailbone hurt and I had problems sitting, which made working a little difficult, but thankfully it wasn't too long. Since then I have entered into the swollen ankles stage. Some days they look like "kankles" as Adam would say. But it's worth it. I had a doctor's appointment last Monday and failed my glucose test, so tomorrow I have to do a three hour fasting glucose test. Hopefully all goes well, if not, I will be on an 1,800 calorie diet and have to meet with a dietician. I will get the results on August 2, at my next doctor's appointment.

This weekend was a lot of fun. On Thursday we drove to Ogden, and my brother and sweet sister-in-law wanted to throw my mom a surprise birthday party. So we helped set up and then we were in charge of distracting my mom. When we arrived at my brother's, my mom had not clue. She was completely surprised!! And she had a great time.

My sister-in-law, Kirstin, did a great job arranging everything. She is quite the party organizer!!

On Friday night, my Aunt Linda hosted a baby shower for me. It was great! We got some amazing gifts. My family is so great and it was nice to have them all there!

This is me and my sweet Aunt Linda. I am 30 weeks here and just keep getting bigger.

On Saturday morning, my grandma was in the Days of 47 parade in Ogden. She was the Queen of the DUP.

What a wonderful weekend it was!! We loved the time we spent with my family. In two weeks, we are going back up to spend some time with Adam's family, so we are excited to see them.

Heartbeat

First thing Thursday morning we had another doctor appt. This time we got to hear the heartbeat without any trouble. It was amazing!! It is so weird to think about a baby growing inside of me. Even though we've had an ultrasound and a now heard the heartbeat, it's just so different. Most of the time I don't feel pregnant. I am grateful to not have a lot of sickness and feel great most of the time, but I wonder when I will start to really feel pregnant. Maybe when I start to look pregnant and not just like I have gained weight. No matter what I am grateful to have such as amazing and supportive husband, so when I forget I am pregnant, and I try to keep doing Young Women's and work, and everything else, he reminds me why I am tired and I can't do everything. We get to find out on May 20th what we are having. I am really excited because my mom will be here and go to the ultrasound with us. We really don't have a preference to what we have, I am just excited to start being able to buy stuff. I have already ordered my jogging I ordered my diaper bag, it actually will strap to the stroller, which I am hoping I will like. I have the crib I want picked out, just waiting until we get the spare bed moved out and rearranged. Overall, I feel like we are doing really well and getting ready for this new and very exciting change.

Baby on the way

So we had our second doctor's appt yesterday. I was really excited because we were suppose to hear the heartbeat. I am seeing a PA right now until I decide what doctor I want to see in the office. She tried to find the heartbeat for about 10 minutes with no luck. She just kept assuring me that this didn't mean something was wrong. I was worried anyways. Another doctor came in and he couldn't find the heartbeat either, so they decided to do an ultrasound. That was amazing. It was a very quick one, but we could just see the baby turing and flipping around. It turns out that I am a week further than I thought. Originally my due date was 10-10-10, which we thought was pretty cool, but after the ultrasound, it was changed to 9-30-10. So I am 13 weeks right now and very excited. We really don't have a preference to a boy or a girl right now. I can see either being wonderful. I have my ultrasound scheduled May 18th to find out the sex of the baby. I am excited because my mom will be able to be here for the ultrasound. We are just excited to move onto this next stage in our lives. A little scared, but completely worth it.

It's been a while

Okay, so it's been like 7 months since I have posted anything. So I thought it was about time. We love our house. We finally feel a little settled in and are really enjoying being homeowners. We love our new ward. The second week in our ward I got called as a primary teacher and Adam was called as the Assistant Ward Mission leader. I loved my class. They were really cute and just fun to be around. Well at the first part of December we got called into the Bishop's office. Since I never know what is going to happen. I had no concerns. Well, I should have. The Bishop is explaining how there needs to be a little reorganizing in the YW's program due to some work schedules. I am just sitting there and thinking, "Oh okay, maybe I'm a counselor or secretary." Oh no, I was called as the YW President. I was totally shocked. I was completely overwhelmed and couldn't say anything. Good thing Adam was there, he said yes for me. Since then, Adam says I have cried more than our entire marriage. Considering that hasn't been long, I didn't feel too bad about it, until tonight when he was explaining how stressed I've been about it. He said that if he even looked at me wrong I would start to cry. How sad. It's a good thing I've relaxed a little bit. I am still stressed about it, but things are getting better.

House

Okay, so it's been a little while since we've posted anything. We are currently in the process of buying a house. We have finally found a house we like, and can afford!! We are very excited. We are hoping to close in the middle of July to the end of July. It depends on when we can lock in an interest rate. So if anyone is looking for an apartment, we'll have one. :)

Shoe Party

Adam's Birthday

So I am finally getting around to putting up some pictures from Adam's birthday. He was a very good sport for someone who doesn't like much attention or his picture taken. This was his birthday gift. Adam loves to work out and wants to gain 10 pounds. Since we already have The Perfect Push-up, it was an excellent addition to his collection.

On Adam's birthday we just stayed home and chilled for most of the day. But the Saturday before we went bowling with some friends and went to get ice cream. Knowing how much Adam loves attention, we got the employees to sing to him and he got to wear an amazing hat. Isn't he just the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Here is Adam with his girlfriend, MacKayla. She just loves him and he has very good luck putting her to sleep.

P.S. That is not all his hair, if you look closely you'll see a shoe behind his head.

Nothing Very New

So our lives really are quite boring. We get up, get dressed, I got to my Spanish class I started, Adam goes to work, then we come home, eat dinner and watch a movie or something, then go to bed. Not very exciting at all! But at times it is really quite nice. We finally got the internet at our house yesterday, which is so nice. It's only been a day but we have used it a ton! We think the house we are living in may be selling, so we have been looking at apartments to move into. We are trying to have it be in a good location for my work and for Adam's schooling. He is going to enroll for Fall semester and start working on his generals and prereqs for the PTA program. It is not accredited yet, so that is a small hold up for us. Other than that, we are just boring as ever. We enjoy the quite time we have together and when we need a little noise we go to our friends who have triplets. They are adorable!!

Grateful for Adam!

So I work with some women who give me daily reminders of why I love my husband so much. Here are just a few reasons and in no particular order:

1-He makes breakfast every morning. (And since moving, usually gets lunch packed as well).

2-He cleans the bathrooms.

3-He does laundry.

4-He is patient and is always gentle with me.

5-He is very considerate and makes me feel appreciated and loved daily.

6-He always opens my doors.

7-He is dedicated.

8-He is willing to do anything I need him to and takes care of me.

9-He knows when I am frustrated, no matter with who, and makes the situation better.

10-He makes me laugh everyday and makes me grateful for him.

11-When I am cold, he makes me hot chocolate.

12-He warms up my side of the bed at night.

It's hard to list of all the reasons why I love him. But he truly is amazing!

Moving Update

So we are pretty much done with moving and being unpacked. We took a day off work and moved everything by ourselves. Since then we have been working on unpacking everything. We have basically everything done. But it is so great to have a house that we can be alone in and not hear our neighbors, or cars, or anything. We're not sure how long we will be here. The house is up for sale, and if they sale it we'll hopefully have 30 days to find somewhere else to live. But it's been up for sale for about 2 years, so we'll just have to wait and see, but for now we are just glad to be here.

Moving Again

Okay, so I really think I day we will stop moving. I have a friend from work who has moved to Oregon for a job, and I joking told him he could rent his house to me and Adam, for the same price as our two bedroom apartment. Well, he told me they had decided not to rent it, because they are trying to sell it and didn't want to have to worry about renters. He called me the next day and told me he had spoken with his wife and if we were interested we should come look at it. So we did, and we love it!! It's a 3 bedroom house, with a large living room and large kitchen. We are really excited and think it will be a great experience for us. We will move in December 1, and somehow everything worked out well enough for us to be able to get out of our current contract. We truly are blessed!

It's All Over

Well, life is a little less stressful these days. We are finally married and loving every moment. We decided not to buy the house, it got too crazy with the wedding plans. So we live in a small 2 bedroom apartment. It's not the best thing on the planet, but it is cheap and it works well for us. I would love to say that life is not boring, but frankly our lives are a little boring. We usually go to work, then come home, eat dinner, watch a portion of a movie and go to bed. But we love just being together. It's nice to know that when I am stressed out with work I get to come home to someone who loves me more than anything. I am so glad I wanted to find someone who makes me feel more loved than ever before.

BUSY LIFE!!!

So it's been a little bit since we last posted, and things have changed a bit. After all the stress at looking at houses, we decided to rent for a couple months. It worked out really well because we can save up more money and have a little more time to figure out where we want to live. So we moved Adam into the apartment and it's small but great.

The wedding is getting closer. We are getting ready to send announcements out, so please send us your addresses. We would love to see as many of you as we can. We can hardly wait to be married. Just less than a month away!!! We love all of you!

Buying a House!!

So we have been trying to decide whether we should rent or buy down here. Right now is a great time to buy. As we looked at apartments and saw how much they were, Adam wanted to see if we could buy something. I was a lot more hesitant. It took a bit of convincing to make me feel good about it. Working for the City, I have come into contact with a lot of great agents. One of them found a 1300 sq ft duplex for $135,000. So we have been going through the motions to buy it. We put in our offer yesterday and hopefully it won't take too long. It is on a short sale, which means it is on the brink of foreclosure. It may take a little longer to get everything through because the homeowner and the bank must both accept the price. But as soon as we get that approval, it should be pretty quick. We are really excited about it. It is in a great little family neighborhood. We are hoping Adam can be moved in before we get married!! It would make the move a lot easier. So we'll see. As soon as I can get my computer to work, I will put some pictures up.

How We Met!

Okay. We keep getting asked how we met and all the details. So I thought I would write a blog about it. Any comments by Adam will be in ( ). It hasn't been very long, but we are excited about it. We met on Mother's day! I know not very long ago. We talked for about a half hour and learned that he knows my sister-in-law. He couldn't remember exactly what she looked like, so we decided he'd come over the next night to look at pictures. We ended up talking for eight and a half hours on Monday night! It was great. We were up until 4:30! While we were talking I put my number in his phone.
So on Tuesday I get a text from a number I didn't recognize and it was Adam. He had been looking through his contacts to call someone else and saw my name. We texted through the day and he asked me out. He picked me up that night and we went miniature golfing. It was a blast! And of course I won golfing (and his heart). :) We went to eat at Ruby Tuesday, and we split a meal. I loved it. Anyone who knows me, lately I don't eat a full meal. So when we were done, we went to his apartment and watched a movie. Adam likes to have a sweet any time of the day, so he wanted to make brownies, but we were still full. So we watched the movie. At one point he tried to kiss me, but I denied him. We won't get into why, but I had just recently gotten out of a relationship and wasn't quite ready. But I really did want to kiss him. So after us trying to kiss a couple times(or 5), we finally kissed. It was great!! When we did kiss, we knew something was different. Well I finally got home in the early morning. But because of the lack of sleep on Monday night, and no sleep on Tuesday night, I was feeling very ill. So I called in sick to work. I texted Adam and he came over after a little bit. We just talked and took a nap. After talking for awhile we decided this was really different, and we decided to get married.
He is the most amazing man I have ever met. He treats me like a princess and does the things he knows I love. Our personalities are a little different but we are learning. We agree on a lot of things, some things we need to talk about but it's fun doing it together. Anyways, that's the story, at least part of it.
